Mrs. Nguyen was born June 29, 1933 in Randolph County, AL to the late Ben Embrey and Doshie Price Embrey.

She was an active member of Centralhatchee Parkway Baptist Church. A woman of strong faith, she attended every day the church doors were open if she was able.

She worked for Franklin Nursing Home for many years as a certified nurse’s assistant and activity director. It gave her great joy to be a comfort for the residents during their stay.

She was willing to help anybody during their time of need. She was known to many as “grandma” and was dearly loved by all who knew her.

She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She wanted them to check in with her, so she looked forward to daily phone calls from each of them. She supported her family everyday and wanted only the best for each of them.

Her favorite times were spent with family and friends. She especially loved weekly outings for fried fish on Friday nights. When it came to meals at home, she liked to tell everyone else what to bring for the spread on the table.

Survivors include: one daughter, Janice Chesnut (Randy) of Franklin; one son, Jimmy Cammon (Michele) of Villa Rica; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: Howard Cramer Cammon and Van An Nguyen; a son, Joel Cammon; and a granddaughter and her husband, Charity and Hans Alexie.

The Staff of Stutts Funeral Home is honored to support this family with End of Life Services.
